POPE FRANCIS INAUGURATES THE EXHIBITION “EMOTIONS TO GENERATE CHANGE” IN ST. PETER’S SQUARE

AN EXHIBITION TO PUSH THE THEME OF THE CARE OF CREATION AT COP26 IN GLASGOW

Pope Francis inaugurates the photographic exhibition entitled “Emotions to generate change, created by Lia Beltrami, director and writer, and by photographer Asaf Ud Daula together with the Integral Development Department of the Holy See.

The exhibition, which takes place on the occasion of the Laudato Si ‘Special Year , the launch of the Laudato Si’ Action Platform and at the same time as the COP26 summit in Glasgow..

The exhibition was opened on October 31st by the words of Pope Francis at the Angelus, in front of a crowded square:  

Let us pray that the cry of the earth and the cry of the poor will be heard … In this context, the photographic exhibition Laudato si ‘, the work of a young photographer from Bangladesh, is inaugurated today in St. Peter’s Square. Go see it!
The exhibition includes a total of 40 photos, of which 26 on display , mounted on special wooden panels, the material of which is taken from the trees felled by the storm Vaia, which in 2018 hit the mountainous area of ​​the Dolomites and the Veneto Prealps.
